Ostomy Halifax is excited to announce that our annual education event will be held on Saturday October 19th! This event is an excellent opportunity to both learn and connect. Space is limited so please pre-register to ensure your spot! www.eventbrite.com/e/ostomy-halifax-society

Whether you are a member of an ostomy support group, a family member of someone living with an ostomy, someone who may be facing ostomy surgery, or someone who has no current affiliation with an ostomy group, but who would just like more information, you are welcome to join us.

EDUCATION EVENT DETAILS

WHY: Our educational presentations throughout the day will provide medical and social information to help people living with an ostomy – and their families – to live life to the fullest.

WHEN: Saturday, October 19, 2024 9:00 am – 4:30pm

WHERE: Holiday Inn Express & Suites Halifax-Bedford (click here to see location) located at 980 Parkland Drive, Halifax, CA B3M 4Y7 (near Exit 3 from the 102). There is ample parking.

HOW: It’s easy! Arrive at the Holiday Inn Express (Halifax) by 8:00am to register/check in and be ready to participate by 9:00 am.

COST/FEE: There is no fee requested for this event.

LUNCH & SNACKS: Morning and afternoon snacks as well as a lunch service will be provided. If you have any dietary restrictions please inform our Operations Coordinator, Jessica, ahead of time via email: operations@ostomyhalifax.ca

ROOMS: For those traveling, rooms will be available at a special rate for pre-booking for $169 plus tax.

A full agenda will be available soon. Our keynote speaker, Senator Wanda Thomas Bernard, will be presenting the topic of Diversity, Inclusion and Ostomy Halifax : Making the Links.
