Ostomy Halifax 2024 Christmas Auction

IT’S THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR
Plans are now underway for the 2024 Ostomy Halifax Annual Christmas Auction! Last year’s auction raised over $7000 to help send kiddos with ostomies to summer camp, and we’re so excited to do it all again!! Read more about how we support campers here.
This year’s event is scheduled to take place on Sunday, December 8th from 1:00pm to 3:00pm, and we’re thrilled to have secured a brand-new, amazing venue:
Avery Room – Fairbanks Interpretive Centre (Shubie Park), 54 Locks Road, Dartmouth.
Finding Us: Take Waverley Road north, just past Tim Hortons, turn left onto Locks Road, and then follow Locks Road until the road ends. The centre will be on your left.
Graham will start the bidding promptly at 1:15pm, so feel free to arrive early to get your paddle, some refreshments and a good seat!
We’ll also be holding our ever-popular 50/50 draw and will have some hand-made items for sale that you may find very useful, so don’t forget to bring some cash!
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
Bring along savoury or sweet nibbles to share. We’ll provide the beverages!
Have a look in your closets for new, never used items that you think someone else might consider a treasure.
If you are a crafter, artist, baker, sewer etc., perhaps you’d like to get started on a hand-made donation or two.
When you go out to your favourite restaurant, service provider or local retail store, ask if they might be willing to donate. They may surprise you! Gift certificates are a great idea and very popular with our bidders. Click here for an official donation letter or pick a few up at our next meeting on November 3rd.
Please let us know ahead of time what you have so we can add it to our list and if you could email one of us a photo, that’s even better! We’re happy to pick up items, you can drop them off, or you’re welcome to bring them along to the event but letting us know in advance and providing a photo saves an enormous amount of time on auction day and allows us to get the bidding and the fun started early!!!
